Chocolate Persimmon bears fruits at a young age. This non astringent variety are tasty when eaten fresh yet you can use it for baking too. When ripe they give off subtle notes of chocolate flavor. Mature height is 20-25 feet tall. Fruit ripens in late October to early November. It is tolerant to heat and humidity. Trees will start producing fruit in approx. 2-3 years depending on your climate and growing habits.
