At maturity, white powder will occur on the outside of the stem that will form a pale-gray, blue-green color which is very striking in the landscape. This is the most beautiful member of the Phyllostachys family that is drought and freeze resistant. Stems maygrow to 4.5 inches in diameter and up to 65' tall. The wood quality is excellent and is highly sought after.
The plant you purchase will be shipped semi-bareroot with soil and carefully packaged. Plants will be cut back to 3-4' tall for shipping.
